The man have to be the only one in the picture with both his eyes, nose and mouth visible. Process the photo into BW format (preferably grey-scale) and add an elegant border. My keyword suggestions - skin texture, grade A composition, great lighting and fitting expression. Snapshots will be removed.

Motion blur Challenge finished on Sunday, 21 May 2017 convey the energy of an object by providing blur to the motion. it may be achieved by panning with the object in motion (freezing the object blurring the background), slowing down the shutter adding blur to the object in motion, or zooming. if you have other techniques to create motion blur please share in the techniques section when submitting so we can all learn. Show us insects' or spiders' eggs, (their egg sacs or egg cases), frogs' eggs, eggs from birds in the wild, turtles' eggs.... No, NOT the chickens' or ducks' eggs from the supermarket or your favourite hen farm, not fried or scrambled, etc. Eggs come in such a variety of shapes and colours, so this should make an interesting challenge. Minimal evidence of humans, pets or man-made constructions. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of your entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.

Trains - Sort of... Challenge finished on Thursday, 18 May 2017 OK, who doesn't love trains? In this challenge however, show us your best picture that has something to do with trains, but not an actual train. It can be tracks or equipment or people, i.e. an engineer. However, no trains. No engines. No box cars. No cabooses, no wheels or anything else that is part of an actual train.
