World War I and World War II Defensive Architecture Challenge finished on Tuesday, 01 Oct 2019 Contrary to the title of the Series of Challenges containing it, this individual challenge will be limited to defensive fortifications ACTUALLY USED OR BUILT FOR FOR MILITARY PURPOSES between the beginning of WWI and the end of WWII. That means that some of the Napoleonic and older stuff scattered around Europe, the UK, and elswhere which was reoccupied as a defensive structure during WWI or WWII is fair game. Some areas of Dover Castle might be a good example. Just make sure the WWI or WWII influence is represented in the images. INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR. Think pillboxes, gun emplacements, and such like stuff. IF IN DOUBT, POST IT ANYWAY :)
In your home Challenge finished on Monday, 30 Sep 2019 Show us an image that was taken in your home. This can be anything from the inside of your home, to a spider you found on the wall or a nice still life you put together.

Old Tech: Using An Antique Lens Challenge finished on Thursday, 26 Sep 2019 Submit any photograph captured using a modern digital camera with an antique lens. We'll consider a lens to be "antique" if that model credibly was available 50 years ago, so a lens model that was first produced in 1969 would count even if your particular copy of that lens was made in 1977. The Adapted Lens Talk forum ( https://www.dpreview.com/forums/1065 ) can give you some good ideas for what lenses to adapt and how to adapt them... and even "freelensing" counts as adapting a lens.
