First shot... Challenge finished on Monday, 21 May 2012 When I bought my first digital camera my first picture was of the sandwich I was eating at the time I took it out of the box. When I buy a new camera it's now a little personal tradition to make the first picture one of a sandwich. I was wondering wether some of you do the same with the first shots with a new camera. Be honest please, it's not about the first GOOD picture, but about the genuine first one.

Go Ahead and JUMP!... with a prop Challenge finished on Saturday, 19 May 2012 Ah, jump pictures. Although you are cliche, at least you're still mostly out of the reach of cell-phone-shooting Facebookers, for now. Yes, they're everywhere - the guy walking an invisible tightrope or riding an invisible bike - but they still make me laugh when they're done right. Let's see what you can do with a floating, fast-shutter shot. Use a physical prop, don't photoshop one in afterwards. Here are a couple examples (I would accept the bicyclist's outfit as a prop) http://media02.hongkiat.com/levitation-photography/invisible-chair.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3405/3198953564_80c7c03991.jpg

Faces in Strange Places Challenge finished on Saturday, 19 May 2012 The mind recognizes familiar patterns; words in the branches of a tree, animal shapes in the clouds, faces in the pattern of a flower. Our eyes see faces where there are none - in the bark of a tree, or in the design of a building. Show us your faces on inanimate objects. Explanations, captions, and humour are encouraged.
