Winner: Tiny frog in a plant
Waterlife Amphibious Challenge finished on Tuesday, 28 Feb 2012 Those cold-blooded animal sorts that live in the waters but visit dry land, or vice versa... Ubiquitous and well-known, some are relatively easy to photograph, the others not quite so easy. People will generally try to sneak upon some dreamy froggie, but quietly mount a telephoto lens to shoot a snake! Let's see some among your beautiful shots of snakes, frogs, lizards, tortoises, or maybe tidal zone snails, shells, crabs... DO NOT enter pics of warm-blooded animals! PLEASE read all the Rules carefully. I hate having to disqualify, but will when I have to.
NO! (capture date rule) Challenge finished on Tuesday, 28 Feb 2012 NO! (show in a picture what NO! means)

Lighting or Pluming Fixture (Capture date rule) Please read all... Challenge finished on Tuesday, 28 Feb 2012 For the sake of this challenge a pluming fixture is defined as a faucet or shower head. Please no photos of toilets in use or nudity! ;-) A light fixture is any light that is physically attached to a building. A table lamp is not a fixture as it is not "fixed/attached". The photo needs to be taken after the challenge is announced. The reason for this is to give you the opportunity to spend a little time planning and capturing an interesting photo. It's got to be worth an hour of your time to think and act creatively rather then watch TV. Your family could have fun helping you. This is not a snapshot challenge, it's a creative challenge. I'd rather have 7 quality photos then a challenge full of file photos. Additional rules apply, please read carefully.
Winner: Man and his guitar
A Musical Instrument being played...Only the 5 best photos will be voted upon - See special rules. Challenge finished on Monday, 27 Feb 2012 The main subject: A musical instrument being played, or photograph a close up. If we don't see the player, the picture should give the feeling that the instrument is being played (drumsticks hitting a drum, a hand strumming the guitar or fingers holding a flute in position). Please read the extra rules before deciding to enter this challenge. Your goal is to be selected by a panel of judges to be a top 5 entry. The concept is meant to reduce the impact of friend vote solicitations in this challenge. No facebook. Win with your talent, not your friends.
