Design Elements - Color Challenge finished on Monday, 18 Jan 2016 Color is a key part to design. Showcase an image that represents this aspect of design. Think of strong examples for example Afghan Girl photographed by Steve McCurry, an image that was to be the most popular cover for the National Geographic magazine. Use ideas like harmonious tones or contrasting colors to showcase your image. Bold Big primary colors could work wonders. A yellow building against a blue sky for example. After The Rain (Nature) Challenge finished on Saturday, 16 Jan 2016 This challenge gives you the opportunity to showcase your interesting nature pictures taken after the rain has stopped. You may show us examples of water drops on flowers, insects, leaves, spiderwebs. Alternatively you might show us how the land responds on a larger scale, with new plants sprouting in the moist earth, or puddles left after the rain, water levels rising in rivers and streams, etc. (Please, NO dewdrops, caused by mist or fog, and NO rainbows, which are too easy). No humans or domestic pets; and man-made constructions should be minimal. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of your entry: 1,600pixels maximum on its longer side.
