They DON'T collect pollen on their back legs, DON'T live in hives, DON'T have bee-like antennae, and they DON'T sting. Drone flies, (Eristalinae sub-species,) with spotted or striped eyes, are also welcome to be entered. The hover flies must be outside, on flowers, leaves, hovering around, or just doing what hover flies do; NOT under studio lights. Macro shots welcome.
