Movies Challenge finished on Saturday, 11 Aug 2012 I'm not certain that it should necessarily be classified as a "hobby" but, in my circles, I would consider it just that. Hell, for some of my friends, watching movies is more than a hobby, it's a lifestyle. This one may be a little more difficult to figure out, so I didn't put a capture date rule on it. I don't want a photo of Pulp Fiction playing on your TV. Maybe a photo of your DVD collection or movie action figures. Maybe you have a copy of a famous movie script or movie posters on your wall. Show me your representation of movies.

Killer Dust Bunnies (BEFORE/HELP or AFTER) Challenge finished on Thursday, 09 Aug 2012 You're shooting and swapping lenses as needed -- the stuff you saw in the finder looked great. However, when you look at the images on a bigger screen, you notice that this huge hunk of dust settled on your sensor just before you took your best shots. This challenge is for photos "ruined" by sensor dust (marked BEFORE in title) and how they were saved in postprocessing (marked AFTER in title). Entering an image marked HELP in the title invites others to postprocess and submit AFTER versions of your image.

Lost to history... Challenge finished on Wednesday, 08 Aug 2012 There are many companies that have produced motorized vehicles, many of which are no longer with us. Brands such as Oldsmobile, Isetta, De Tomaso and others have made much loved machines, but they just haven't been able to stick around into the 21rst Century. This challenge is to show your best photo of a vehicle whose maker no longer exists. Please tell us who made the vehicle, when and where and a model name if you know it, in the notes when you post the photo. Any photo which doesn't have that information risks being disqualified.
