Macro - In or Under Water Challenge finished on Wednesday, 11 May 2016 Submit a macro photo of something that in or under water. From the host of this challenge: I strive to bring challenges to the community that are not repeats of my previous challenges. I have strove to offer challenges that are fresh, new, and unique to my past challenges. It has become more and more difficult to deliver new and fresh challenges that are not repeats of my past challenges, but I consider it a challenge to myself to offer new and fresh challenges to the community. Who am I? I'm a 15 year U.S. Biology Teacher, with a master +30, and a U.S. Physical Scientist Technician (retired). I am an avid supporter of Pentax dslr camera(s) and lenses. Ugliness in Nature Challenge finished on Saturday, 07 May 2016 Yes, I know that this is a human, subjective view of the world, that we see aspects of nature as beautiful or ugly, and not as the animals, birds, insects, plants see themselves. Given that proviso, show us what you consider really, really ugly in nature. Man-made ugliness will be disqualified, and no people, or domestic pets. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side. And no, DPR does NOT reduce the sizes of the entries for you. You need to do this yourself or be disqualified!
