Laos: Its People (Environmental Portraits Only) Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Feb 2013 Not that many people have been to Laos. But those who have rave about the people who live there. Show us your best image of a local who is interacting with his or her environment. Multiple subjects are fine. NOT allowed: images with a subject posing for the camera. A later challenge will be for all the other types of Laos images. Please note the difference between an environmental and a traditional portrait. If a subject is staring at the camera, posing, etc., it is not environmental.
Tricks & Treats Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Feb 2013 No, not the Hallowe'en kind: think of something entirely different. In one of your pictures, subtly change the content in such way that it looks almost normal (that would be the Trick)... until you look again (that would be the Treat!). So, let your intervention be subtle... and then, it should be clear what has been changed. I'm sure you all dabbled in photo-montages and composites, it's fun. DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER: Please, follow the rules! It's the only way to avoid an unnecessary disqualification.
