Light Painting Challenge finished on Sunday, 13 Jan 2013 Every photographer knows that light is the key element in creating an image. So, what happens when there IS no light available to use? In this challenge, I would like to see images of light painting. For those of you who don't know what this is, light painting involves taking images in near darkness with a long exposure time and a deep depth of field. During this time, you take a light and shine it over areas of your subject to "paint" it. This technique allows photographers to have a large amount of control over where light will hit the subject and the intensity of the light itself. This method yields interesting images that are appealing to the eye. There are no guidelines for size of the image. I advise you to use a tripod for these images, and use a shutter release on BULB mode.
