Leaf Detail Challenge finished on Saturday, 27 Oct 2012 For this challenge: One Leaf Only. Show us the beauty in the detail of that leaf: the veins, the texture, colours, or the pattern. This could be a bright green leaf, an autumn leaf or a skeletonized leaf. There may be very minor leaves in the background, but one single leaf must be the subject of your picture. Macro Shots welcome. SIZE DOES MATTER! See below.

Canon EF 28/1.8 Challenge finished on Friday, 26 Oct 2012 A lens frowned upon due to unsharp corners af f/1.8. Of cause, it is always nice to have sharp corners - you can even blur them in software if you need to. But really, in low light shotting how often do you really need sharp corners wide open? Lets show what the 28/1.8 is capable of in low light situations. Lets show what a bargain this lens really is to all the disbelievers.

A Gentleman's Claw Challenge finished on Thursday, 25 Oct 2012 An old synonym for pocket knife. It's another item (aside from lighters and watches) where designers never seem to get out of ideas! A pocket knife is one handy tool; it is not a weapon. Only more primitive among us tend to think about it the other way around, but then, those are hardly photographers. Anyway: show us one well-made pocket knife, and make the photo as interesting as can be. Think about it as if you were creating a photo for an advertisement. But mention the manufacturer in the comment field, if you think it's deserved. And observe all the rules, so your entry won't be cut out... :)
Roses Challenge finished on Thursday, 25 Oct 2012 Very simple: just submit your best picture of rose(s). Please read the rules carefuly.
