Winner: I stayed way too long
- Right before I die - (...in Full Colors only + A white Border) Challenge finished on Sunday, 14 Aug 2016 Before I start, I want to explicitly say that no one should die or be in harm's way for this challenge. This is a conceptual challenge whereby you'd be asked to imagine what would be your last view just right before your life ends. Do u see a mugger flashing his knife at you? Do you see a cop with his finger on the trigger? Would you be staring at the traffic below from a rooftop of a skyscraper? Would you see the grim reaper at your bedside? Or do you find yourself gazing lovingly at a cowgirl doing what she does best - bouncing higher and higher and higher and higher as you (and your heart) prepare to go out with one last OMG BANG! Of a finale. Whatever it is, it must be taken from your POV (and please keep the vulgararities down a notch). You only die once, so dun make it a lame shot. Compose it meaningfully and frame as if it's your last bat of eyelid before you report to Lucifer for an eternity.
Winner: Bed time
A Tribute to Sir David Attenborough Challenge finished on Saturday, 13 Aug 2016 For many years, Sir David Attenborough, Naturalist Extraordinaire, has shown us the wonders of nature through his amazing documentaries, films and books. As a tribute to him, I'd like you to show us your pictures of nature, (animals, birds, insects, plant-life, corals, etc,) taken as a result of his inspiring work. Wikipedia has interesting information about him and his very busy life, even at ninety years young. Tell us the stories about your pictures. Size of entries: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
Winner: I'd rather be a flower than a fungus
I'd rather be a _______ than a _________ Challenge finished on Saturday, 13 Aug 2016 In 1970 Paul Simon put lyrics to an old Peruvian piece of folk music, which was then released as "El Cóndor Pasa (If I Could) on the Simon & Garfunkel album Bridge Over Troubled Water. Some of the lyrics are “I’d rather be a hammer than a nail” and “I’d rather be a forest than a street”. For this challenge, each entry will be of two original pictures side-by-side. The picture on the left will represent “I’d rather be a _______” and the picture on the right “than a _____”, with the pictures being all that’s needed to convey the desire of the photographer. Anything goes as for PP. If you’re not familiar with the song, I suggest you have a listen for inspiration.

A beauty unique only to itself. The pyramids of Egypt, the streets of Jerusalem, the tranquillity of the dead sea... This challenge is a pretty general one. It aims to uncover the beauty of the middle east. It could be landscapes, street photos... As long as it is in the middle east.
