transluscent Challenge finished on Sunday, 23 Aug 2015 shoot through something translucent (something that is not totally clear (i.e. a regular window but not totally obscured (i.e. a brick wall) such as frosted glass, a wedding veil, an umbrella or a balloon that you can still see through. the translucent object may encompass all or just part of the photo and the amount seen through the object may vary from just light and shadows to details. Show us eyes: eyes of insects, spiders, birds, animals, reptiles, amphibians etc. Macro and close-ups welcome. Please, no eyes of humans, domestic pets, or birds who have lost their freedom. VSCO FILM 04: Slide Films Challenge finished on Friday, 21 Aug 2015 The idea for this challenge is to edit photos using the VSCO film preset 04. The subject is open but this film preset is geared towards slide film/landscape photography. So although it can be used to edit any photo landscape shots may be the best to yield the greatest results. Must have the original and the edited photo posted side by side. Filter Hack! Portraits using some sort of filter hack Challenge finished on Thursday, 20 Aug 2015 Create an image with a hack filter. This could be the old Vaseline trick, or lace etc draped over your lens. It could be a plastic bag on the end of your lens (clear, opaque etc...experiment with this) . Different materials yield different results. Get out there, research and experiment!
