- The River - (Full Colours Only + Border, Title, Date) Challenge finished on Thursday, 23 May 2013 Take a dayshot of a river scenery. Put a Border and Title on the photograph. Please also watermark the capture date (correct to the month). No sunset/sunrise or silhouette type of shots please.
Winner: A Golden Bay
Singapore Challenge finished on Thursday, 23 May 2013 Anything goes, from this city-state. People, landscapes, buildings...whatever says "Singapore" most to you. Please, enter images that you've not already used in prior challenges . . . let's see something fresh and new from you. (I will likely depend on help from other challenge participants in tracking down violators. So, images that are repeats could be DQ'd at any time . .. even after the challenge ends!) See my earlier challenges, or send me a PM, if you have any questions about what an "environmental" portrait is. In addition, this particular challenge is for subjects that are *not* staring into the camera and/or not posing for the camera. Entrants are required to (1) vote for each other entry, (2) read the comments (if any) below this challenge, in case I or other entrants post with Rules questions or clarifications, and (3) follow each of the challenge rules. Magazine editorial: A test of faith Challenge finished on Wednesday, 22 May 2013 A glossy magazine, known for its thorough examination of social issues, is about to print an article about faith in the twenty first century and requires an illustration. The tricky part is that the article does not focus on religion so they don't want a stereotypical religious image. The editors are hard-pressed to come up with solid examples of what they want, but images of people looking thoughtful or doubtful or troubled certainly seem to appeal to them. They're open to more natural images, but stress they really want to include the human element.
