India 1: Clost-up Portraits--MALE subjects only Challenge finished on Thursday, 18 Jul 2013 India is a photographer's dream. And, it's a place many of us have been to. So, we'll have a larger-than-usual series covering the subcontinent. This first one cannot have any female subjects. So, an elderly man. Or, a young boy. Or, two men with a son. Etc. No women at all, as main subjects, or as secondary subjects. (I'll deal with women lurking in the far background on a case-by-case basis.) This challenge can have traditional portraits OR environmental portraits. That's up to you. These subjects must take up a significant percentage of the screen. If you have any uncertainly, submit your image early on...I'll let you know if there's any problem. As usual for my challenges, Entrants are required to (1) vote for each other entry, (2) read the comments (if any) below this challenge, in case I or other entrants post with Rules questions or clarifications, and (3) follow each of the challenge rules...including voting WITHIN THE FIRST SIX DAYS of the challenge.

Aim to portray an animal as beautiful, cute or majestic as possible. The animal does not need to be the sole point of beauty. It can be the overall effect the picture gives when an animal merges well with the background. Like a wolf howling to the moon. So try to ensure the animal matches the landscape well.
