Halloween Diorama Challenge finished on Friday, 07 Nov 2014 Submit an image that capture a diorama of Halloween. Dioramas are accepted if they adhere to the definition of the word. Quick search gives me 2 definitions. (1) noun: A three-dimensional miniature or life-size scene in which figures, stuffed wildlife, or other objects are arranged in a naturalistic setting against a painted background. (2) noun: A scene reproduced on cloth transparencies with various lights shining through the cloths to produce changes in effect, intended for viewing at a distance through an aperture. Have fun.
Reaching for the Skies Challenge finished on Friday, 07 Nov 2014 Upload a picture that illustrates the effort to reach new frontiers in the sky, through the development of aviation and astronautics. Monuments, statues or artifacts that illustrate the will to fly are accepted. This challenge is to show a photograph of a maple leaf. It can be in any setting, on or off the tree), but must be a real maple leaf. Entrants and voters should place strong consideration to good photography and post processing as well as meeting the challenge theme. Images must be colour and may be heavily processed if desired.
