Insects or Spiders That Bite or Sting Challenge finished on Saturday, 18 Oct 2014 In this challenge show us photos of insects, spiders or other arthropods which can bite or sting us, (humans or animals.) Think mosquitos, ants, bees, wasps, venomous spiders such as the Black Widow in America, or the Redback in Australia, scorpions, etc. This challenge is NOT about insects stinging other insects or eating them. Where possible, the insects or spiders should be outside in their natural environment. They need not be the 'venomous' rush to hospital kind, but those which are annoying when they bite, such as mosquitos, midges, bees etc. Macro and close-up photos welcome. Size of entry: 1,600px MAXIMUM.
