This week the main subject must start with the Letter L, So the subject could be anything from Llama to Lavender. Do you have a Lorikeet? Maybe a Lodge photo? How about a Lion? Remember as this is an open challenge your image must really stand out to win. The rules are simple but I require you to state the subject in either the description or the title. Please do not be too ambiguous, otherwise, it may be disqualified. Please, no proper names. Katie is either a child, a girl, lady or a woman etc.. To win this challenge there should be a strong sense of subject, and one that matches this weeks challenge.

Get to Work (Power Tools) Challenge finished on Sunday, 22 Jan 2017 Power tools are a wonderful thing. Please submit a photo of a drill, grinder, jack hammer, table saw, router, nail gun, planner, welder, saws all, cutting torch, rivet gun, pneumatic tool, or similar powered tool. The tool should not be a large riding tool like a bulldozer (maybe a later challenge). The photo can include people if you like. Host is the sole arbitrator determining if submissions meet the intent of the challenge. No photos that have finished in the top three of any previous challenge are allowed. Please try and keep maximum dimensions to 1600 pixels and please vote. Try not to injure yourself in this challenge.

You may also enter pictures of small fresh water rock pools, in mountain streams or gorges, or where rain has collected in cavities in larger rocks. You might show us pools which contain interesting sea life, such as starfishes, sea anemones, crabs, etc or you may concentrate on the shape of the pool, and the reflections of the sky. Small children may be present in the picture, but should not be the main subject. The pool is the subject. Size of your entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
