My favourite lens Challenge finished on Monday, 18 May 2015 Every photographer has a favourite lens. Reasons are as many as the stars in the sky: technical, emotional...whatever you want. Sometimes (it's my case) our favourite lens isn't the most used but, in this case, take it out from its bag, mount it, and shoot something that lens is born to shoot. Don't forget to write a couple of lines to explain why you are in love with that lens

The photo must depict life in a real village. Photo can be taken with any Canon or Nikon camera. Sunset/sunrise shots are acceptable provided they are not those silhouette type of shots.

props Challenge finished on Sunday, 17 May 2015 Take a photography of a person using a prop in the photo. the prop should enhance the photo but not be the subject. BE CREATIVE, HAVE FUN.

Stairs Challenge finished on Saturday, 16 May 2015 Submit an image of stairs from a simple single flight of stairs to an elegant spiral staircase. Please bare in mind that they are to be inside a premises. No outside stairs. They can be in any type of building, from a house or home to an office building, hotel, school, museum etc. Only snag - NO people or animals anywhere in your image please. Treat it like a typical architectural shot. Try to show good lighting and composition.

Bubbles in Nature Challenge finished on Saturday, 16 May 2015 If we look around us, we can find natural bubbles in our environment. Show us some of the interesting examples which you have found and captured. It might be in volcanic rocks which have bubbled up from the fiery earth below, or bubbles left after waves have receded on the shoreline, or bubbles trapped in ice. In the macro world, you might have examples of insects blowing bubbles, or the bubbles encasing the eggs of insects, fish or amphibians, serving as insulation, moisturiser, and protection from predators. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size on longer side of your entry: 1,600px MAXIMUM.
Classic airliners Challenge finished on Friday, 15 May 2015 Classic propeller airliners. No modern jets or military cargo aircraft please. Only propeller driven models in flying condition or not. Aircraft models are allowed. Current short range turboprops might enter the challenge, but it would be preferred to avoid them.

Pairs IV - a tender kiss in the STREET Challenge finished on Friday, 15 May 2015 Share with us photos showing pairs of human adults kissing in the street. Photo should convoy intimacy but in in a subtle way. The main subject has to be a pair of human adults, but the photo should show some street scenery and other people.

End to End Horizon Challenge finished on Thursday, 14 May 2015 Submit an image that has a horizontal horizon that's unobstructed by any other object in the image. In other words, you can draw a line on top the horizon without touching any other object in the image. If the horizon is crooked, image will be DQ'd. Horizon definition in this challenge: the apparent intersection of the earth (or sea) and sky as seen by an observer. Also called apparent horizon.
