Winner: PRICKLY SUBJECT
Macro - A Sharp Point Challenge finished on Wednesday, 10 Feb 2016 Submit a photo of something either living or non-living that has a sharp point. From the host of this challenge: I strive to bring challenges to the community that are not repeats of my previous challenges. I have strove, tried very hard, to offer challenges that are fresh, new, and unique to my past challenges. It has become more and more difficult to deliver new and fresh challenges that are not repeats of my past challenges, but I consider it a challenge to myself to offer new and fresh challenges to the community that aren't the simple repeats that other challenges often deliver. Who am I? I'm a 15 year U.S. Biology Teacher, with a master +30, and a U.S. Scientist (retired). I am an avid supporter of Pentax dslr camera(s) and lenses. View my photos at: http;//www.piziak.com. Sensory Overload in Nature Challenge finished on Saturday, 06 Feb 2016 Sometimes nature can overload our senses, so we lose the ability to appreciate the beauty or magnificence of what we are looking at. Nature's natural colours can be very flamboyant, or perhaps a landscape is so huge and magnificent, such as the Grand Canyon, or Niagara Falls, deserts can be too vast, oceans too deep, that we lose our sense of perspective. Very vivid flowers, or brilliant autumn leaves would be examples of this sensory overload. In your entry, let NATURE take centre-stage, so don't saturate your image in post-processing. Vivid sunrises and sunsets should appear natural. Humans, and man-made structures should be minimal, no domestic pets. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of entry, 1,600px on its longer side.
