Landscape Photo in a Square Format. Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Apr 2016 Format restrictions can paradoxically unleash a photographers creativity. Can you create a landscape photo in a square format? Please vote on which photo is most technically accomplished, most aesthetically pleasing, and that is in a square format. Winner: Simply Red
Selective Color Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Apr 2016 This one almost requires post processing. Take a picture, then edit it so that everything except the subject is black and white. The subject can be anything. Some cameras have the ability to do this as the picture is taken. If yours doesn't have this, the picture will have to be post processed with your favorite software to remove the color from everything except the subject. The subject doesn't need to be one color. However, the fewer colors in the subject, the more dramatic the photo will be.
Winner: Rainier reflection on a pond (Early Summer)
On Golden Pond (NO LAKES) Challenge finished on Thursday, 07 Apr 2016 Ponds that are tranquil and beautiful. That is our subject. Think about what aspects you can add to the image. Reflections, leading lines, framing? I would prefer natural ponds or tarns, but the public will decide who reigns supreme. I will not disqualify based on if it is a pond or lake but ask voters to use their judgement as to what is a pond and what is a lake. A pond is defined as a small body of still water formed naturally or by artificial means.
Winner: Fear of hights...!

From the host of this challenge: I strive to bring challenges to the community that are not repeats of my previous challenges. I have strove to offer challenges that are fresh, new, and unique to my past challenges. It has become more and more difficult to deliver new and fresh challenges that are not repeats of my past challenges, but I consider it a challenge to myself to offer new and fresh challenges to the community. Who am I? I'm a 15 year U.S. Biology Teacher, with a master +30, and a U.S. Physical Scientist Technician (retired). I am an avid supporter of Pentax dslr camera(s) and lenses.
