Macro - What it Use to Be Challenge finished on Wednesday, 04 Nov 2015 Submit a photo that is hard to tell what it use to be. This challenge is inspired by me placing .22 long rifle bullets on the train tracks and the result(s) were beautiful - everyone I asked what it was said it was jewelry with brass or gold on one side and grey lead plated on the end ok, so what I did may not be legal, so it's up to your morals to keep your photo legal - LOL From the author of this challenge: I strive to bring challenges to the community that are not repeats of my previous challenges. I have strove, tried very hard, to offer challenges that are fresh, new, and unique to my past challenges. It has become more and more difficult to deliver new and fresh challenges that are not repeats of my past challenges, but I consider it a challenge to myself to offer new and fresh challenges to the community that aren't the simple repeats that other challenges often deliver Who am I? I'm a 15 year U.S. Biology Teacher, with a master +30, and a U.S. Scientist (retired)

Macro World Challenge finished on Tuesday, 03 Nov 2015 To follow the previous challenge I am making this one for all macro world photos. This means all insects, arachnids, mollusks, etc, all the animals that are tiny and sometimes forgotten/ignored. The idea is to show off the beauty of the tiny creatures on the planet. These tiny guys are your models so show them off in the best way possible without stressing them out or disturbing their home. Must be in their natural settings (no man made structures allowed in photos like carport, wall, human, etc). For judging, what photos show the best and captures the beauty and details of the little subjects. Does this photo show these tiny creatures in a nice light? Photos below show what is acceptable for the challenge (all photos by me)
