Historic Building Challenge finished on Thursday, 10 May 2018 Take a picture of an historic building and tell us something about it in the description field. You can get ideas from national, state, or local registers of historic places (the one for Tacoma lists 169 historic places, most of which are buildings), but your subject does not have to be on a register to be used in this challenge. Just make sure you tell us why it has historical significance. Just as an example in choosing and writing about a subject, Tacoma's register has an age threshold of 50 years and must meet an additional criterion such as: 1) it is associated with persons or events that were significant in our past; 2) the building embodies distinct characteristics of a particular type, period, or method of construction; 3) it represents the work of a known master architect; or 4) its distinctive physical characteristics have made it an established and familiar visual feature of the neighborhood or city.

Any Tree Challenge finished on Tuesday, 08 May 2018 Live tree, dead tree, petrified tree, little tree, big tree, felled tree, lone tree, lots of trees, part of a tree. There is no limitations here, other than the tree(s) must make up a good deal of your image, or be a central part. There can be people and structures in the image, but they shouldn't be what the image is about other then to add to the overall image. ................... try to make your image stand out, make it different, make those trees stand out from the crowd, think outside the box.

So many things to choose from, maybe some you haven't thought of like like coffee beans or olives (both drupes). Or the more common pears, apples, strawberries, walnuts, sun flower seeds, bananas, mangos, the list is endless.
