Landscape #1 Challenge finished on Saturday, 26 May 2018 In this challenge, "landscape" is taken in a fairly broad way. It can, of course, be scenes with trees, hills, valleys, and rivers, but could also be scenes of such things as seascapes, villages, large cities, harbors, farms, and industrial parks. The important thing is that, to paraphrase author Brian Bower, it should be a picture of a place rather than a specific person or thing. People, plants, animals, boats, trains, bridges, and buildings may well appear in your picture, but they should not be the most important element; they should add to the sense of place rather than be the main subject matter. This challenge does have size and capture date restrictions, plus a requirement for writing something about your picture in the description field.
