Best FT or MFT Image of the week! Challenge finished on Wednesday, 18 May 2016 Just a celebration of the Half Film / Half Sensor format the Olympus has made famous over the years! So show me the best image you've captured in the past two weeks!
Look Mom No Hands Challenge finished on Tuesday, 17 May 2016 Hands free shooting. This week we want to see what you can do away from the camera. Step out from behind the camera and be the focus of this weeks challenge. You can use a built in timer, a remote or computer software to trigger your camera. Make it the ultimate selfie or an image of you and others. Please post family friendly images only. You must be in the picture in some way that shows you are not holding the camera. Be creative, explore your potential and most importantly.....HAVE FUN!!!
Cat challenge II Challenge finished on Monday, 16 May 2016 Another 2016 Cat challenge! It's been 2 weeks since there has been a cat challenge and it filled up in a single day so rather than have 1 large challenge, I have added a second cat challenge. Cat's in action, or more likely a cat portrait, or cat sitting and thinking are what's wanted. Please crop the photo to a SQUARE for your composition. I'm keeping the entry limit at 60 for this, so plan to enter early because evidently everyone loves to enter a cat challenge :)
Winner: FLYING BOOK
Abstract Photo of Books Challenge finished on Monday, 16 May 2016 Can you create an artistic photo of books? Abstract, surreal, or impressionist creations are welcome. Please vote on which photo is most technically accomplished, most aesthetically pleasing, and best captures an artistic photo of books. If you are a member of Flickr you may also wish to post your photo to the group "Abstracted", newly created for this challenge series: https://www.flickr.com/groups/2897865@N24/
Winner: Industrial Sprinkler
-First World Problem: Conceptual Challenge - (Black and White + A white Border) Challenge finished on Sunday, 15 May 2016 The concept is about insignificant things or animals being given an unproportionally grand attention or treatment, that it obviously doesn't deserve. Please do not interpret it literally. Take a non human dayshot. Process the photo into BW format (preferably grey-scale) and add an elegant white border. My keyword suggestions - too grand for its scale, mundane, yet eyeball grabbing, surreal, pop.
Original Challenge finished on Sunday, 15 May 2016 Provide an original photo that does not include people or domestic pets. Include why you think no one else has taken a similar photo.
Winner: Angkor Warriors
in a line Challenge finished on Sunday, 15 May 2016 create an interesting, standout photo of multiple objects placed in a line and use DOF so that the items are not in the same focal plane (i.e. a picture of six dolls in a line going away from camera where the focus point is on the second doll and the dolls/space moving away from that doll become increasingly out of focus). see examples for more clarification. the trick will be to come up with a shot that stands out in a crowd that has similar composition and technique. BE CREATIVE, HAVE FUN.
Winner: Gateway to the Urban Jungle
Panorama...rama Challenge finished on Saturday, 14 May 2016 Quite simply let's see your best pano shot... The pano can be horizontal or vertical but, to be allowed as a pano, the long side must be at least 2.5 times as long as the short side.
Winner: Golden Forest
The Coloured Leaves of Autumn Challenge finished on Saturday, 14 May 2016 This is the third challenge about leaves in the four seasons. Show us in this challenge the wonderful colours of autumn (fall) leaves. With summer gone, the leaves are beginning to show signs of hard wear from the weather: heat, rain, winds, and are now displaying their beautiful colours. Macro and close-ups welcome. Insects or small creatures may be present on or near the leaves but should not dominate the picture. Make sure your entry is 1,600px MAXIMUM on its longer side. DPR does NOT resize your photos for you. You need to do this yourself BEFORE you enter a challenge. Entrants with oversize photos will not be invited to re-submit them. Ensure the correct size the first time!
