Life experience II (People over 50) Challenge finished on Sunday, 25 Dec 2016 Submit an interesting photo that includes a person or persons of at least 50 years of age but the photo must not be a portrait. Portraits as defined by the host will be disqualified (I don't like them). Entries from the previous life experience I challenge are not allowed and will be disqualified. Host is the sole arbitrator determining if submissions meet the intent of the challenge. Please try and keep maximum dimensions to 1600 and please vote.

12 days of christmas - days 1-4 Challenge finished on Sunday, 25 Dec 2016 photos representing days 1-4 from the song 12 days of christmas. these are a partridge in a pair tree, 2 turtle doves, 3 french hens, and 4 calling birds. I will allow leeway on the specific number of each item as well as when the "gifts" call for something very specific (please read on to see what will be allowed). in this challenge I will accept photos of any partridge (does not have to be in a pair tree), and hens french or otherwise. as a further note I will personally be impressed if anyone manages to get photos as exactly matching the song (# and exact gift). BE CREATIVE, HAVE FUN.
Large Birds Challenge finished on Saturday, 24 Dec 2016 Small and medium-sized birds enjoyed their displays on these pages recently, now it's time to showcase the large birds in their own nature challenge. Large birds, IMO, would include pelicans, cranes, flamingoes, eagles, condors, peacocks, some penguins, ostriches, swans and geese.... The birds must be free and in their natural environment. Evidence of humans, pets, or man-made constructions should be minimal. Pictures of roast turkeys will be sent back to the kitchen. :-) Size of your entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
