"Wabi-Sabi" PENTAX Only Exhibition Challenge finished on Monday, 22 Mar 2010 Wabi-Sabi in it's barest essence is the Japanese art of finding beauty in things imperfect whether in nature or manmade. Examples, an old handmade vase that shows it's pitt marks and scratches due to age, usage and handmade imperfections rather than one that is mass produced shiny and new. An outdoor furniture piece that shows it's passage of time from usage and weather. Leaves at the end of their cycle discoloured and scattered randomly on the ground. A fallen tree log that has probably layed there for a few years and is covered in moss/fungi etc... Perhaps the closest word in the English language to Wabi-Sabi is "Rustic" although this is only a small part of the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic."
Winner: The Apology Tour Continues
"Bigfoot Meets with President Obama!" Challenge finished on Sunday, 21 Mar 2010 In many countries, there are the "Tabloids". Weekly publications which periodically feature composite photos on the cover. Aliens meeting with the president. Elvis still alive and dating Marilyn Monroe. That sort of thing. Have fun producing images that are fakes, composites..."photoshopped", but intended to make the naive think they are true to life. The more improbable the subjects the better. NOTE: The title of the photo MUST be in the form of a tabloid style headline, as the challenge title is an example.
24 Challenge finished on Saturday, 20 Mar 2010 Create something inspiring and amazing on one day. Sunday 7th March 2010. It needs to be somehow related to time , how you interpret this is up to you . Your mission has been set so go out and shoot something incredible. Highest marks should be awarded for the best images shot on 07/03/2010 with clear links to time. Shots which dont really show links to time should be marked lower. I would love to see a full challenge on this one!
Composition: Human Landscape Challenge finished on Saturday, 20 Mar 2010 The shape of the human body has fascinated artists for centuries. Long ago, photographers discovered the parallels between the curves of the human form and natural landscapes. Demonstrate your ability to capture a landscape image made entirely with the human body without venturing anywhere near eroticism. (See Additional rules.)
Winner: Lee Point Sunrise

Winner: One Eye Lost
Cemetery Curiosities Challenge finished on Friday, 19 Mar 2010 To the disappointment of many....the mysterious stranger that leaves half a bottle of Cognac and Roses at Edgar Allan Poe's gravesite did not show this year. This challenge is about what was left behind...the remnants of what was an intimate time shared with a loved one, that remains a mystery to anyone else who happens by...in this case, the cognac and roses. Children's toys, a six pack of beer, a book...NOT your usual funerary flowers or flags. If you stop in your tracks and have to wonder "who?" or "why?" then you've got the right idea...see the example and description of the example below. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE ITEMS AND DO NOT REARRANGE OR ALTER THEM IN ANY WAY
Pigeons in town Challenge finished on Thursday, 18 Mar 2010 The pigeon has been refered to as "a rat with wings". It is abundant in our cities and we often walk past without photographing them because they look so ordinary - relative to extraordinarily colorful plumage found on so many other birds. This challenge is to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. Show us a picture of this bird, in a city scene, that makes us proud to have the pigeon dwelling with us in the city.
