Old hotels - old motels - old hostels Challenge finished on Wednesday, 19 Aug 2009 "The word hotel is derived from the French hôtel (coming from hôte meaning host), which referred to a French version of a townhouse or any other building seeing frequent visitors, rather than a place offering accommodation"...yes but we need those hotels,motels,hostels who were offering their accommodation for a loooooong time and they have kind of hmm, soul is a good word for that. We would like to see those nobel and historic ones but we wouldn't mind frightening ruins. We even invite them with a warmness in our hearts.

Vanishing Point Challenge finished on Friday, 14 Aug 2009 Post your best shot of a 'Vanishing Point' (a point at which receding parallel lines seem to meet when represented in linear perspective)- could be a road, train tracks, pier etc. The major condition is that we must see the vanishing point in the image (to clarify, we don't have to see an exact point- please don't complain about images that don't have an exact point).
