- The Steel Worker - (Full Colours Only + A Border) Challenge finished on Sunday, 23 Oct 2016 Take a high quality shot of someone working and to some degree involves physical manipulation of metals such as steel or aluminium. It could be someone at a steel foundry, a welder, grinder, flame cutter, etc. The main subject should be the person (one or more human adults) and face is recommended, unless they're working in a protective mask. Second element needed is the metal and heat. Finally add an elegant border before uploading the entry. My keyword suggestions - show movement, melted steel, slow shutter, lava like scene, flying sparks, get up close and personal

Jigsaw Puzzle #12 (Nature) Challenge finished on Saturday, 22 Oct 2016 It's a while since we had a jigsaw puzzle challenge in the series which I started back in 2012. In this challenge, show us an example in nature, which is very busy and intricately detailed: a natural landscape, a seascape, a forest, plants, flowers, trees, birds or animals in the wild, insects, etc., which would make a great jigsaw puzzle. Minimal evidence of man, pets, or man-made structures please. Think 1,000+ pieces in the puzzle, a devious 'drive-you-crazy' picture with lots of minute details.... :-) SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM on the longer side.
