Some excellent shots in this challenge, yet most of them could've been taken with a sub-$2000 camera.

You are of course absolutely correct io_bg. You don't NEED an expensive camera to take a great picture... I have seen some Fabulous photos taken on point n shoot cameras, even phone cameras... The best camera is the one you have in your hand, and it does not need to be the most expensive. BTW, it looks like you are also doing very nicely with your photography... keep it up mate.
