Ancient Cathedrals, Chapels, and Places of Worship - Architectural or Structural Details
Challenge #5 in the Ancient Cathedrals, Chapels, and Places of Worship Around the World series. Hosted by Schrodingers_cat.
Challenge is now open for submissions
We're looking for color or B & W images of interior or exterior ARCHITECTURAL OR STRUCTURAL DETAILS in Ancient Cathedrals, Chapels, and Places of Worship. For this challenge, we are interested in closeups of specific details of the structure, carvings, statuary, that variety of stuff. For guidance on size of the subject, think nothing larger than perhaps the large double doors leading into a cathedral and preferably smaller. If the image makes one think "ancient", then that's good enough, don't worry about the actual age, I don't want to rule out everything in the US :) Think of these features in isolation from their function on the structure and present them as standalone forms.
