Ancient Cathedrals, Chapels, and Places of Worship - Color EXTERIOR

We're looking for COLOR exterior images showing any aspect of the exterior of Ancient Cathedrals, Chapels, and Places of Worship. For this challenge, we are interested in wide views, NOT closeups of specific details. If the image makes one think "ancient", then that's good enough, don't worry about the actual age. Some of the best structures have had the town build up very closely around them, sometimes to the extent the structure itself is only glimpsed from certain angles. Should this be the case with yours, images presenting the structure and it's surroundings to their best advantage are excellent choices.

As a general rule, and within the boundaries of good taste and the DPReview rules of content, I'm not going to DQ very much of anything unless it's political, suggestive, offensive, or highly controversial.
Otherwise, I prefer to let the voters decide if an image fits the challenge description. I suggest you reserve the vote of 1/2 star for images that simply do not conform to the goals of the challenge.
No winners of previous challenges, please. We want to see new approaches.

JosephScha ..... hold on to the Jerusalem images for the forthcoming challenge "Ancient Castles, Palaces, Forts, and Defensive Constructions Around the World". As a fortified city surrounded by walls and watchtowers, they'll fit there :)

I should have looked earlier. If I had entered, you'd have a picture of the western wall of the Jerusalem Temple courtyard.

My apologies for not having responded in time to be useful, but challenge hosts do not get notified when someone posts here. I'll try to monitor comments in the future however. Regarding your actual question, I don't have access to the actually software that runs the challenge or have the ability to view what is or is not working correctly. I only get to see the completed submissions so have no information so I don't know what might have gone wrong.
