got some complaints, yes a couple of pics were close to a dq but this item did not fill and will stand to be judged. hope the best photo wins.

Yankee Sunset is a very similiar picture to my original photo of two sandhill cranes in flight against a setting sun sky. There also is another that I won't mention. You need to be more consistent with your rulings.

I didn't see anything in the rules saying the judge must know the item which was a bird is black. The rules need to be more specific. These cranes were not shadows but appeared to be black in the low light. When illuminated they are gray which is a shade of black.

My entry of sandhill cranes landing was not a shadow but a black siloette of two cranes landing. It was past sunset with the sky still orange. I don't understand why that pic was disqualified? It was real. Ken Cleeton
