Imagine you have been asked to provide one or two creative and inspirational illustrations for a series of lectures. This is on sailing across the oceans and how wind power opened up transport around the world.
Possibilities include:

- a tea clipper.
- a replica of a 15th century caravel.
- the captain or crew of a square rigger or other historic wind-powered ship.
- docks or dock buildings that pre-date the age of steam.
