A Whiter Shade of Pale

Challenge #249 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In nature we see an amazing variety of white, beige, cream, grey and other colours of the palest hues. This challenge seeks your best pictures in these soft, muted colours. Please, no high key effects, or desaturation to produce your image; this is all about nature showing us what is already there. Macro and close-ups welcome. Minimal evidence of humans, pets, and man-made constructions. Please think beyond snowy landscapes or clouds. Think sun-bleached driftwood, white sandy beaches, pale-coloured birds, animals or insects or plants.... Size of your entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
