Less is More (Nature)

Challenge #210 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In this NATURE challenge, show us your best examples of the minimalist principles where 'less is more'. Minimalism is an art style characterised by the smallest number of components used; ideally a simple background with open space, and a single element as the subject. You might choose to show single elements or use colour to give this same 'less is more' effect. As this is a nature challenge, please limit the use of man-made constructions, humans, pets, or caged birds. Macro and close-ups welcome. Size of entry: 1,600 pixels on the longer side.
