Life in the Macro Jungle

Challenge #196 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
This Macro Nature challenge invites you to show us pictures of insects, spiders, or other small creatures in their natural habitat, amongst grasses, leaves, plant stems, flowers, etc. Pictures where the insects or spiders dominate a single flower or leaf and there is a plain background will be disqualified, since that does not give us the impression of 'life in the jungle'. Think busy scenes, with interesting camouflage for these little creatures. Macro or close-up shots only. The size of your entry is important: 1,600 pixels on the longer side. DPR does not reduce the size of your entry; you need to do it yourself, or be disqualified.
