Natural Sculptures

Challenge #192 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
Over time, nature has been producing wonderful sculptures through its harsh weather: erosion, wind, water, sun. These 'sculptures' might be made of hard sedimentary or volcanic rock, soft sand which moves with the tides or wind, icebergs or glaciers, or the sculptures might be living trees or plants which have interesting shapes. No animals or birds in this challenge, and definitely no man-made constructions as the subject. No shots of Antelope Canyon, please, it has become hackneyed and clich├ęd. Make sure your entry is 1,600px MAXIMUM on its longer side. DPR does NOT resize your photos for you. You need to do this yourself BEFORE you enter a challenge. Entrants with oversize photos will not be invited to re-submit them. Get the size right the first time!
