Challenge has finished
In years gone by, it was difficult for most of us to see the minuscule wonders in nature just with the naked eye. Digital cameras and their macro lenses allow us to appreciate these microscopic marvels of nature. In this challenge, show us examples of nature in its most minuscule forms, such as insects, spiders, fungi, plants and flowers, or inanimate natural objects. You may use either cameras with special macro lenses, or simpler P&S cameras which can capture images very close. Here, 'Macro' means the subject is shown in far greater, exquisite detail than can be viewed by the naked eye. Size of entry: 1,600pixels on its longer side.
