Last night the Northern Lights tip-toed farther south than they usually do, and many regions of North America not accustomed to seeing them were treated to a light show. In hopes of catching it we hopped in the car with the Canon EOS 5DSR and headed away from the city lights. We've got a couple of aurora shots to share as well as a selection of others taken with a production-level 5DS R camera.

This is an initial gallery primarily using the 16-35mm F4L IS USM. We plan to try out as many different Canon lenses as possible with the high resolution sensors of the 5DS and 5DS R, and then update this gallery in the near future.
