sadly you miss the point of why this camera struck a chord with its eventual audience ..... fuji has brought to the table a renewed respect for tactical control, and the camera buyers responded ...

I suggest you put the crack pipe down and continue you love affair with touchscreens
on the cacophony of smartphones and cameras that meet your needs and are simply everywhere and the new "normal " [and I use the word: normal, in an uncharacteristic sense ] and leave the beautiful rarity of the x 100 phenomenon alone !

Yes you are clearly the minority regarding the dials. People that don't like phisical manual control can buy themselves one of those... What's their name... Sony cameras! Or even a smartphone!

Correction needed for Slide 12: Battery and memory card. In the first sentence the second instance of X100V should be some other Fujifilm camera model.

Any idea when we can expect the full review? I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I’m particularly interested in the focusing performance for video, as I’ll likely use photo and video equally if I buy one.

Another nice camera I will never buy. If it had kind of a small stabilized zoom 24-60 I might probably have reason enough to have it as my only camera. For a side camera it is a bit expensive for me personally plus I would not carry two cameras on vacation.

Maybe when pairing it with a triple camera smartphone it will work for me? Hmmm. That could be fun.

Sorry, but I can't get over the mystery about high end Fujifilm cameras missing a 4:3 Crop option.
It reminds me of my Canon M6II leaving out 24fps video or the irrationality about the iPads without an official Calculator App or a LED torch.

If anyone has the chance to interview Fuji officials please ask them.
It makes no sense given it is just a simple firmware code already in the camera and for the target market who supposedly cares about photography essentials like framing and composition.

Some of us love dials. Fuji did a good job¡

To me, the new updated model will satisfy many.

Looking more like a Leica all the time. Fit and finish looks very nice.

I bought the Xpro3 and probably won't be buying this camera ... but that redesigned ISO dial....WHY? WHY? WHY? Fujifilm, did you not include that on the Xpro3!?!?

I am a fan of Fuji cameras, both analog and digital. And I like the 100 series cameras for travel, and it looks like a mini X-pro. But for the cost it maybe difficult to sell in light of the smartphones capabilities in the same price range. Then there is the Sony's 6000 series camera bodies have the advantages of interchangeable lenses and slightly smaller size. Also their is Fuji's own line up of cameras with interchangeable lenses. I hate to say it but in order for this camera to sell it has to sell at nearly half the cost. But what do I know?

Guys! With all the respect your work merits, walking about with this camera to take shots, in other to sample its potential....there has to be better opportunities for photos than the ones sampled at your Fujifilm X100V pre-production sample gallery (DPReview TV). I understand time is scarce, dead lines must be met, but please, a bit of care and finesse? No? Hire me! 🙄🤭😂

One of the ugliest RF I've seen to date.

Hoping to see something that may resemble a new flash button... instead see there is now NO flash button.

So I will now have to go through the Q menu, choose flash, and switch through all of the flash options and click to choose one. 4 interactions to accomplish what my crappy old Coolpix A does at the single flip of a switch.

One of the reasons I sold my old X100 was because it took too long to turn on the flash... as my people and "out and about" camera, it is a huge pain to not have quick access to turn flash on and off. Maybe next round? Give us a switch on the side? Somehow I doubt this is anyone's priority but my own...

Slide 12 says, "The X100V features the same NP-W126S battery as the X100V..."

I think you mean the same battery as the X100F.

This is the first Fuji camera I would consider buying. The soft lens of the old X100 and Lightroom's poor handling of X-trans RAW files was a dealbreaker for me. Both of these issues have now been resolved.
Of course I'd like it to have a smaller body and IBIS like the GRIII, but the 35mm equiv lens and weather sealing make it a more desirable camera for me.

Not only it's a double crop camera, it's as ugly as a soap-box, with overkill price!

In early days, in the photography school, we were taught to touch the cam by heart. Everything was analoque. So finally in the total darkness we were able to use any shutter/f-stop combination we wanted. We touched the cam like we were blind. No need to look at numbers. Sight was in our fingers. Just feel the aperture clicks + - from 5,6 and the shutter by starting it from certain point and counting. So we were the "automats" :-)
Digicams are impossible to use clever and innovative way cause they usually lack mechanical aperture ring and shutter dial (and focus ring is terrible by wire experience). You might know that exposure may be set with those two when ISO stays the same. So analoque cams were at the same time artists and pressphotographers tools..No million unnecessary buttons and possibilities.Just concentration in picture making. And most important, we had to really learn cause we could not chimp.

NO IBIS ? = Yet again a FAIL.

Here is the answer.
Go directly to your wallet and get the Nikon Z50.
Its the real deal, its better then the Z6 or Z7, and light years ahead of anything created by the stuck in the 1850's Fuji Factory.
Try it.
Find out what a real camera with fabulous IQ and amazing color and ease of use can be like.
Or, keep buying dull colors, fuzzy photos, and enjoy that Fuji.

So the X100V is a X-Pro 3 …

… with the correct lens mounted.
… with a proper display.
… with too many dials.

I still think, that slightly bigger and faster (F1.8) lens would give much better look to this camera.

I was so excited about the X100F, it is beautiful and fun to use. I purchased it on top of my Canon FF system. At the end of the day I still use an iPhone. So for my case, I either use FF system for serious work or an iPhone. But Fuji is doing great!

Fuji is basically doing everything right, i am very excited for them!

X100 V seems fantastic due to the features that were to put on the x-pro3 too. Can't believe they did not.

I still have my original X100 black limited edition which is a beautiful camera, I am tempted to upgrade but could anyone tell me why Fuji is still using 2.5mm mic jack while the X-T200 release not long ago is using 3.5mm mic jack, what's wrong with Fuji? In addition, why the built-in ND filter does not work in video mode?

I bought the original X100 in the spring of 2011. I had thought about upgrading before, and now I am happy that I didn't. The time to upgrade has arrived for me.

Really 1500 euros for a point and shoot APS-C camera?
That price even exceeds modern Full Frame cameras that offer more features for less money. - Looks like Fujifilm has lost their way!

Truly 899,- and it would sell, but not for 1500 euro. They have gone insane.

too expensive, too inflexible, stuck with only 1 boring focal length plus parallax issues on top. yikes.

looking forward to buying Canon EOS M50 Mk. II - hopefully soon.

"Still too many dials..." Is like saying a woman has to many curves...

Feel sad when hear "main reason that Fujifilm opted not to include a filter adapter in the box because buyer already bought for previous model". If buyer has old filter adapter, still can keep new one as backup. Fuji too focus in profit margin!

Nice, but the one important thing is: is the lens sharper, especially in the corners, than its predecessor? The Ricoh II and III have unbelievably sharp lenses, and I don't see how this heavier, bigger camera can be competitive with them if the lens is not improved; the old lens was not super sharp in the corners.

Beautiful camera! But is hard to justify the expense when my X-Pro2 still does very well what I like to do.
