As of this morning ACD Systems has made available ACDSee 5.0 for download. Existing ACDSee users can upgrade to 5.0 for $34.95, a full non-upgrade license is $49.95. The ACDSee 5.0 PowerPack includes ACD FotoCanvas (basic photo editting) and ACD FotoAngelo (slideshow / screensaver builder) for $79.95. ACDSee 5.0 includes several new features including calendar based browsing, image grouping and interface customization. ACDSee 5.0 also performs lossless JPEG rotation by default (yipee!)
Anyone who held off from upgrading to 4.0 because of it's lossless JPEG rotation issue should find 5.0 a very interesting product. There's a lot to take in, however 5.0 does seem to be a much more mature product and is probably the best of its kind at the moment.

|Just a basic example of ACDSee 5.0 in use, note the new view option and much improved EXIF display information. EXIF header labels in bold type can be editted. The entire user interface can be customized to look just as you prefer it.|
