Best compact / fixed-lens camera of 2018
The compact cameras (i.e. those cameras that don't have interchangeable lenses) released in 2018 vary greatly by design. Nikon went all out, literally, with the Coolpix P1000, the world's longest zoom compact. Meanwhile, Fujifilm played it discreet, releasing the XF10, a pocketable fixed lens camera. Sony added to its super premium, do-it-all compact line with the RX100 VI, the priciest in the poll, while Panasonic released the follow-ups to two already beloved compacts in the LX100 II and ZS200, in addition to the waterproof TS7.
There were more traditional compact cameras as well, like the Canon Powershot SX740 HS and SX70 HS and the Sony HX99. But only one of these cameras can be crowned the best compact of 2018. So which should it be? Take a closer peek through the options and place your vote!
Voting runs through December 17th, and once the vote has closed we'll run a second poll to find your choice for overall product of the year.
Voting is easy - you pick your favorite products by dragging and dropping. You can pick up to three, and rank them in order of priority.
Poll Rules:
This poll is meant to be a bit of fun. It's not sponsored, promoted or paid for in any way and DPReview doesn't care how you vote, so please don't start a flame-war in the comments. Our readers' polls are run on the basis of trust. As such, we ask that you only vote once, from a single account, and don't vote purely just to sandbag another product or brand. Don't be that guy.
