Film Friday: NFTs and film photography? It's not as weird a pairing as you might think

NFTs offer an easy way for artists to sell their photographs as digital-only works.

In early March 2021, an artist by the name of Beeple sold a one-of-a-kind JPEG, at auction, for $69 million. The digital-only work was 'minted' and sold as a Non-fungible token (NFT), which uses a Blockchain to record the sale and give proof of ownership to the buyer. This was the first digital-only NFT ever sold by the well-known auction house, Christie's.
The astronomical auction price of Beeple's piece quickly kicked off a rush among artists looking to sell their own work in a similar, digital-only fashion. And to date, nine NFT's have sold for excess of $1 million. But what about the rest of us; should you sell your photos as NFT's too? How easy is it? And could it potentially help fund one's analog hobby? Our pals over at 35mmc explore the topic:
