Ricoh releases inexpensive all-weather AF201FG external flash
Ricoh has announced the AF201FG external flash for Pentax interchangeable lens cameras. The AF201FG is weather-resistant, can tilt down ten degrees and up ninety, and has a guide number of 20 meters at ISO 100. It also weighs just 141g (5oz). The AF201FG will be available in March for $149/£129.

Denver, Colorado February 9, 2015–Continuing its heritage of producing dynamic, and rugged weather-resistant imaging products, RICOH IMAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION announced today the launch of the new AF201FG flash unit with guide numbers of 20 at ISO 100/m for PENTAX branded interchangeable lens cameras. With the announcement of this new, compact flash unit, Ricoh Imaging extends its impressive family of weather-resistant products.
As the latest addition to weather-resistant flash units, photographers are now equipped with capable tools that reassure them to extend the boundaries of outdoor photography. The new AF201FG was designed with the active photographer in mind, including a dust-resistant and drip-proof, all-weather construction that prevents the entry of water and dust into the lens. The AF201FG provides an advanced flash application, including bounce flash functionality, which is adjustable to angles of -10 to 90 degrees vertically.

New to the AF201FG flash is an assignable mode button that allows the shooter to program their settings to their liking. Users can select from 5 modes including, Off, P-TTL (leading curtain sync), P-TTL (trailing curtain sync), Manual (full), and Manual (1/4). Powered by two AA batteries, the AF201FG is available in the body color black.
Compatible with all PENTAX K- series and Q- series cameras, the AFG201FG measures just 65mm(W) x 72.2mm (H) and 78.7mm (H) and weighs a mere 141 grams. For users seeking a compact, lightweight, and very portable flash, the AF201FG promises to ensure that their shot is never missed.
