Snapjoy's app puts all your images in your pocket, organized in a timeline format.

Dropbox has purchased the online photo storage service Snapjoy. Though the two companies aren't yet sharing details of what's to come, Snapjoy is no longer letting new users sign up, while promising existing users can still share and store their images via Snapjoy. The move seems consistent with Dropbox's moves to expand its photo storage options, including a major update to its Android iOS app this October.

The acquisition comes less than a week after Dropbox snatched up cloud-based music storage service Audiogalaxy.
