Do you find yourself approaching each of these three subjects with different techniques?

One feature that all three need for me is, as much as practical, beautiful light. I love a striking sunset or blue hour for exterior architecture. Horses and airplanes look great during the golden hour. Next, I'm cognizant of the background - is it too distracting or does it add to the composition? Does it provide enough contrast that the subject stands out?
