Vantage Point: The aviation photography of Jon Pece

Chicago's Aqua. While hiking around Chicago, an excellent city in which to shoot architecture, I watched with glee as the Aqua building became enshrouded by a very low cloud deck. Fuji X-T1, 18-55mm converted to black and white with Nik’s Silver Efex Pro 2. Photo and caption by Jon Pece

What is it about working with mechanical design that attracts you to aviation and architectural photography? How are you able to illustrate form and design so successfully in an image?

Making a decent photograph requires a concept, correct execution, and then post processing to fulfill one's personal vision. Essential during this entire process is love and passion for the subject matter to infuse energy into these steps. My interest in aviation has been lifelong and it's that passion for the subject mater that adds that extra something to my creative process.
