A DSLR adorned with glowing LEDs is now a thing you can buy
Much has been said on the subject already, but a look back at the week would be incomplete without a mention of the Pentax K-S1. Ricoh's newest DSLR sports a flashy set of green LEDs along the grip and surrounding the shutter release. Why? Good question.
It's easy to poke fun at the concept, but gimmicks aside the K-S1 offers a solid set of specifications. In typical Pentax form it offers a large 100% coverage optical viewfinder (almost as scarce in this class as glowing lights), a 20.1MP APS-C sensor and an AA filter simulator (as seen in the Pentax K-3). And mercifully, you can choose to turn the lights off completely if you want.
