A beta firmware update for Promote Control has just added support for the Pentax 645Z. The Promote Control is a remote shutter control that connects to compatible cameras via USB and offers a variety of shooting features. It now provides Pentax 645Z users HDR bracketing of up to 45 images in 1/3 to 9 EV increments, long exposure shooting, timelapse (with HDR option), and focus stacking. There's even a video mode that allows you to adjust exposure and rack focus during movie recording - all without touching your camera. The device itself is weather-sealed and powered by two AA batteries.

The video above details the Promote Control's functions, and the press release below covers what features are available for the 645Z at this time. Promote Systems plans to add more features with future firmware updates. The Promote Control is available for $329 and ships worldwide.
